Cardboard Crayons

Cardboard Crayons know exactly what to do.
In spite of their obstacles, they are part of “The Few.”
“Broken and waning” are not in their words.
Coming from Trauma their life is a splurge.
Combining the song and singing along
They pretend to be part of the best,
But ragged and torn, their heart is forlorn,
And they weep when at home to rest.
Answers there are and Answers will be,
If run to the Throne they will,
To seek wisdom and favor and peace that surrounds
And offload the wounds that did kill.
Wisdom speaks and wounds are cleansed
And pain that won’t let go is gone,
When sorrows are wailed, and tears are availed
And hurt is replaced with the song.
Hope springs anew and solutions are tuned,
And memories hurt no more,
As joy displaces hatred and peace replaces contention
And the Father rebirths the adore.
Peace in the heart and Peace in the family,
And Peace in the workplace and Peace in the pews.
Joy in serving and Joy in the sacrifice,
And Joy in the laughter and Joy in His news.
